Mission Statement
Our Mission at You Saved Me Foundation is to Help eradicate Blight, Hunger, & Poverty by helping to increase resources and opportunities in historically overlooked and underserved communities that will help expand the middle-class and decrease poverty levels in the communities we serve. We serve all people regardless of age, gender, sex, sexual orientation, income, immigration status, or political or religious affiliation.
We target anyone at-risk, living unhoused, low-income, immigrants, those with disabilities, low-income families, marginalized minorities, refugees, U.S. veterans, companion animals, and or pets of those seeking assistance.
In times of crisis, we provide anyone with free clothing, baby diapers, Financial literacy courses, food, hygiene equipment, housing resources, pet food, Rapid Career Development opportunities for upward mobility, and Youth Development Programs for at-risk Youth.
We believe in removing barriers and stigmas to employment by training substance abuse users, those living unhoused, those with criminal records, and applicants experiencing mental health challenges. We believe in a career for everyone despite any social stigmas or those struggling with past and present adversities. We believe in creating a non-discriminatory safe space to volunteer, work, or receive immediate assistance and services.
Founded in 2019 as a 501 c3 Public Charity. You Saved Me Foundation has served more than 7,000 families and individuals in the San Diego community. Our programs lend a strong emphasis on assisting the needs of our clients immediately. In the short term, we supply immediate food, clothing, high-grade emergency essentials, rapid resources, and survival gear for those living unsheltered within 48 hours of applying and approval. In the long-term, many residents will achieve structure and sustainability for thousands of our neighbors through a Comprehensive Action Plan (CAP) and workforce Development and Career Training.
Each CAP plan is personalized and practical for the client, with specific goals and personal needs in mind. The CAP plan ensures the success of each client by implementing personalized benchmarks and goals for employment, finances, housing, and well-being. Thus, creating metrics to measure the failure or success of the program. It is imperative to our mission and success that we treat each person we engage and serve with the utmost care, compassion, dignity, and respect.
