Mental Health Awareness
Can you remember the last time you went to the park? It may have been a while, depending on who you, and where you live. We all need a break from the noise that can build in our minds and familiar environments. Taking a much-needed Mental Health breather with You Saved Me Foundations' 1st Annual Mental Health Awareness Day BBQ is not your typical day at the park. There was something to learn, foods to eat, music to listen to, and people to meet. We create safe places for our Events, to welcome all in the community. This includes many overlooked groups experiencing addiction, anxiety, depression, homelessness, poverty, trauma, and countless other issues. We give back to the community in a very powerful and meaningful way. We help integrate the community with our network of local employers, volunteers, staff, and elected officials. Together we promote opportunities and resources that are currently available to the community. Second, we provide vital resources and training to provide a new support system comprised of local artists, speakers, neighbors, staff, and professionals over food, fun, learning, and live music.
